Hi, this is Jamie, Executive Director here at Reach Out Pregnancy Center. I just became a grandma for the first time and it has been such a re-learning experience to watch my daughter-in-law and grandson navigate how to get him fed. She has chosen to breastfeed, and that can be tricky. If you are pregnant or a new mom, you might be unsure like she has been.
Here at Reach Out, we have a great series of DVDs and materials on breastfeeding and nutrition. If you sign up for the Earn While You Learn program, you can come in and get all the information you need to help feed your baby. We have trained, caring Client Advocates who also can answer any questions you may have.
For your time and effort, we will give you Baby Bucks for completing lessons and homework. Then, you can “spend” those in our Baby Boutique, which is stocked with lots of baby items including formula and food as well as diapers, wipes and clothing. Since many of our items are donated, our inventory changes often. We do have breast pumps from time to time, though.
We are here to help in whatever ways we can. We have a big network of people and places we can refer you to, as well. While we don’t provide healthcare, we can connect you with centers that provide no-cost and low-cost services. If you are a victim of domestic violence, we can connect you with a shelter and counseling. The same is true if you have been raped or sexually abused. You just need to call us or come in.
If you are still making a decision about your pregnancy, we would love to talk with you about your options. Call 513/367-7710 or come in, Mondays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m., and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m.
